Business Exercise in retail market

Today we had business exercise given by Mr Manohar Kamath. We were given the retail hub of pune , we were grouped in 2 and my buddy was Ms Aourodeepa Rath, we were asked to get employed for a day and earn minimum rs 100 per head, although i failed to earn 100 rs but i had the opportunity to experience the retail and wholeselling market, Me and my buddy searched for the job throughout the giveen area ie, laxminagar and tulsibagh, and after searching each and every shop in the end we got to work at Bhakti Novelty and cosmetics( retailers and wholesellers of beauty parlour material) owned by Mr Hari Patel. We were working at the sales counter and got to see many different types of customers, customer behaviors, stockists behaviour towards regular and new customers, also handling of employees and always striving for customers satisfaction.
As such i couldnt interact much with the customers as most of our customers were ladies, but i got a chance to deal with other dealers and retailers. I could see how there was difference in approach of the stockist towards the various customers. Also i got to see my buddy interacting with the various customers, asking for their choices and helping them in their selection of products.
Overall it was great learning experience and i would like to thanks Mr Manohar Kamath and SIMS for giving this opportunity.
